How to choose gloss meter?

Gloss meter, used for measuring glossiness of various materials, such as car paint, stone, plastic, paper and other products.

1) the standard plate of the gloss meter must be well protected

Gloss meter measurement, it is necessary to have the glossiness standard plate data as a reference standard.If the standard plate is not accurate, the instrument must be inaccurate.And the glossiness of the standard plate is easily defiled, so the standard plate of the instrument must be well protected, generally will use the special base, standard plate embedded in the bottom seat, to avoid external pollution and scratches.

2) the gloss meter must have the self-diagnosis function of dirt and damage on the standard plate

While the standard plate is damaged, the instrument can recognize and remind the user to clean the standard plate.Otherwise calibration error, all measurement data will be inaccurate.

3) the glossiness instrument needs temperature compensation function

The gloss instrument works by using a light source and a receiver to measure the amount of reflected light flux on a material surface.If the ambient temperature changes after the instrument is adjusted, and the luminous efficiency of the light source changes, the error of the luminous efficiency of the light source will be directly reflected in the measurement data.If the function of temperature compensation is available, the change of luminescence efficiency caused by temperature change can be compensated to ensure the luminescence efficiency of the light source remains unchanged.

4) stability, consistency and accuracy of gloss instrument.
